Mergemaker

Mergemaker, mergemaker, make us a merge
We've got an urge, let's have a splurge
Merge clinics in networks that are very large
But make sure that we're in charge.

The Astra and Zeneca merge now is done
Pfizer and Pharmacea are one
SmithKline and Beecham were feeling too small
Then Glaxo, it merged with them all.

Red Cross and Blue Cross are connected
Doctors treat each disaster and flood
For patients it is now expected
They pay for each treatment by giving blood.

Mergers would make med'cine once more an art
Treating one person, not just body parts
Merging together the body and soul
So patients are seen as whole.

Merge systems, we'd have comprehensive
Health care for the rich and the poor
Merge systems, health care less expensive
No one would be uninsured any more.

Mergemaker, mergemaker, maybe you can
Bring people together for a national plan
For a healthier country there's much to be done
We'd have less disease
Less insurance fees
We'd save lots of trees
HMOs on their knees
By merging things into one.
